These mattresses do not have springs and should not be turned over as only the top surface is designed for sleeping. You should however rotate them from end to end once a month to even the wear over the sleeping surface.

Sitting right on the edge of the bed will put undue strain on the edge, and may also damage the borders of the mattress. Also, please ensure the children do not use the bed as a trampoline as this may damage the mattress.
Never fold or roll the mattress, even for temporary storage or removal, this will cause permanent damage to the internal components.
You should never use a new Staples mattress on an old or inferior base, as this could damage or prematurely age the mattress.
